The diary-style of the book and the mix up of historical and personell anectodes with scientific results makes it sometimes hard to follow. But it describes very illustrative how a scientific idea growth and starting to be (ab)used through 'nudging' by politicans over the years.Sooner or later, he or some of his diciples will be queueing up into the scientists regretting to be abused by these politicans.
Great book to help us to better understand the often irrational behavior of our species. Just in case you still need evidence that there is no homo economics. Easy to read.

Ein unkonventionell geschriebenes Buch, das Gedanken und Ansätze der Behavioral Economics in Form kleiner Geschichten erzählt. Ich fand das sehr gelungen, wird aber im Zweifel nicht jedermanns Geschmack treffen.
Der Inhalt dieses Buches könnte ohne Probleme auf unter 50 Seiten erfasst werden. Allerdings verschwendet der Autor über 300 weitere Seiten für Eigenlob und überschattet damit den eigentlich sehr interessanten Inhalt dieses Buches.

If you've read other books on behaviorial economics, you can do without this one. Thaler enjoys wordy reminiscing of the early days when the topics were being developed a bit too much. Is it worth investing 10-20 hours of your life reading this book? Don't know.
